Frequently asked questions
Practical answers about working with us. For advice about your own situation, please speak with a lawyer.
How do I book a consultation?
Start an enquiry online — it takes about five minutes. We review it, check for conflicts of interest and contact you within one to two business days to arrange a consultation in person, by phone or by video.
Do I need to be in Canada?
No. Many of our clients are outside Canada. We meet by phone or video and handle documents electronically wherever possible.
What should I prepare for my consultation?
Any letters or decisions you have received, your identity documents, and a short timeline of the key dates in your matter. After you book, we will tell you exactly what to bring for your situation.
I have a deadline coming up. What should I do?
Tell us about the deadline when you start your enquiry, and call us at the number above. Deadlines — such as for a procedural fairness letter or a hearing — are treated as urgent.
Is what I tell you confidential?
Yes. Information you share with us is kept confidential. Note that submitting an enquiry does not by itself create a lawyer–client relationship; we confirm that in writing once we agree to act for you.
